A Fine Line

It is a fine line between being focused and wearing blinders, between being decisive and closed minded, between re-affirming faith and slipping into doubt.

It is a fine line that we walk every day between being idealistic and hypocritical, between acceptance and avoidance, between tolerance and resignation.

The line is what defines us when we draw it for ourselves. The line is what separates us when we presume to draw it for others.

We cross the line with people, spiritually speaking, when we presume to speak for God. Speaking OF God and speaking FOR God are two very different things. The former tends to unite, the latter tends to divide.

At least, that's the line you'll get from me.
